Dansko Men's Professional Narrow ClogBlack37 EU

My very favorite shoes!5

I have a pair of these clogs (Dansko Professional Cordovan Cabrio) that I have worn practically every day all year for nearly 5 yrs. They still look pretty good and are incredibly comfortable and supportive. I may actually spring for a new pair--finally--but I have never had a pair of shoes last so long.

I have many other Danskos too. I can't wear anything else at this point. Once you wear a pair of Danskos everything else pinches your feet! They are great.

Word of warning: get the cabrios or smooth leather. The suede types or mid-range colors get spotted and dirty after a while.More detail ...

Rockport Men's Margin (Black 12.0 N)

Great comfy shoes for the office5

I'm a New Yorker so about half of my commute is by foot. Before I found these shoes I had just about given up on my search for comfy shoes besides sneakers to wear to work. I had found nice-looking shoes that were stiff and comfy shoes that were ugly. In my latest attempt to find a nice shoe I stumbled across these Rockports and I was amazed. They're so comfy and attractive. It has a very cushion-y sole that makes for walking on sidewalks very nice (something that hurts my feet in my Ecco's). While I wear these mostly to work they go great with jeans as well.

The only possible problem with these shoes is that the sole is pretty soft so they may wear out sooner than you want. For me that isn't a problem.. I like these so much I'd be happy to buy another pair!More detail ...

Sperry Top-Sider Men's A/O 2-Eye Boat ShoeSahara8 S US

30-40 Year veteran4

My new Topsiders have a better initial fit than all my previous pairs. I guess being produced in China has slightly changed the dimensions in my case to the better.

This pair is the two-toned version (brown & black) which are best for traveling as they will go with any color clothing. They used to have another travel advantage as after 9/11 they were the only pair of shoes you didn't have to remove at airport security. The TSA folks knew they had no arch support and wouldn't set off the metal detectors. Unfortunately during the last year the TSA now insist all shoes go through the x-ray machine.

I have owned many pair in the past several decades including the Gold Cup (which are the most comfortable with the best support - although a bit pricey) and this is the first pair that make my feet black when not wearing socks. Evidently the dye they are now using is not colorfast. They have not been wet or worn on the water yet they have only been worn in an urban environment. Hopefully with age they will stop bleeding.

Otherwise if they can correct the dye problem they appear to be well constructed even though they are now made in China.
